This not a reply to anyone. Just my thoughts on the speech.
It just seemed in a way like the same things being said over and over just said a little differently. I don't how it come across to others but to me. All i got out of it, was like it was a pre game pep talk. We will survive and rebuild and you the American people are doing great. I know before some start. That is encouragement and something the president should do.
But how about in the hard times some freezes on some things. Don't kill the people or the economy and let the people have a chance to live. Tell me how on minimum wage anyone in any of the 3 states can rebuild? I'm talking after FEMA begins to pull out.
How do people live on minimum wage anyway? I certainly dont know, but people in America do it everday. Scrimp and save to barely get by. One positve thing that will hopefully come out of this horriable disaster is that it will open peoples eyes as to how crucial an education is these days, if people dont already know it. Without a college education, options are very limited. Hopefully with all the focus on poverty, people will come to realize this. I cant stand the excuse that they cant afford it either, there are community colleges all over the U.S. that offer some of the most affordable education and most, if not all will be paid for if you cannot afford it.
It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.
